Colour grading is a creatively and technically demanding process for any production. With our Baselight HD system from Filmlight, this process is now fast and flexible, whether you require a traditional grading room for television work, or a digital intermediate facility for feature film releases.
The Baselight system handles digital formats seamlessly, and allows for real-time playback in any format up to 4K. Many grading functions are only one button-touch away, making it a fast, easy to use digital colour solution.
Our digital intermediate and colour grading theatre is equipped with a fully-calibrated projector and uses industry standard Truelight colour calibration. Our DI process using the Baselight grading system provides conform of film or digital images and real-time 2K colour grading along with image restoration and creation of final deliverables. For any film seeking a theatrical release, this takes the guesswork out of film transfers and ensures that what you see on the screen ends up on film.
Our in house colourist, Craig Parker, has 15 years of colouring experience both in South Africa and abroad. His work includes feature films, documentaries, music videos and commercials. To view his showreel, follow this link, or read Craig's blog at http://telecinecraig.blogspot.com.
We also offer a cost effective Apple Color suite, with Spectrum grading panel and Grade 1 HD Monitor.
